The Road to Passion 2013 - Immeasurably More

This past summer - literally like two weeks after I started attending Christ Community - was the birth of this Passion trip and the new Sunday School class that kicked off at church today.  We sat around the Wildes' house for game night and talked about Passion and the need for a class for college age students, singles, young married, etc.  Talking about Passion got me excited because my experience with Passion in college was life-changing!  I selfishly wanted to go as a "chaperone" just so I could experience it all over again.  (Was college and Passion '05 really that long ago?  Man, I'm getting old.)

Life got busy, and Passion was far from my mind.  A month or two ago, they started talking about Passion 2103 again at our church.  I said I'd go.  Fast forward to just a few weeks ago.  I decided that financially, it would be in my best interest not to go and I figured this was the Lord's way of telling me that it wasn't for me. The next Sunday, the student pastor was like "You are going, right?!"  The church bought too many tickets, and we needed to sell some of them.  So... I said yes.  And there I was - going again.  Fast forward to Christmas day.  I start feeling bad.  I go to the doctor the day after Christmas, and I'm diagnosed with bronchitis.  I'm talking can't breathe - hacking up my lungs - feeling like poop.  So, what do I naturally say?  "I'm so not going to Passion."  Then the Lord starts speaking to me.  I had the most intense feeling that I was supposed to be there for some reason.  I start getting excited thinking about it, but at the same time I'm sicker than ever. By the time we left for Passion on January 1st, I was on my third round of antibiotics!

We pulled into Atlanta and the forecast is rainy for the evening.  My first thought is "rain... bronchitis... sick... what have I gotten myself into?  Thankfully, my God is the God of IMMEASURABLY MORE, and He had a plan for me this week!  I have spent the majority of my weekend in silence - no t.v., minimal contact with people - trying to process what all was spoken to me this weekend.  I'm still processing. I think one of the only ways I'll get it all out is to write it down.  So here goes...
